Privacy policy and terms of use

These terms of use and privacy policy (together — the “Terms”) govern the use of the “HuntGate” mobile app (the “App”) developed by aQode Ltd (“aQode”, “we”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Service

The App is designed for trail cameras that send captured wildlife images to registered HuntGate email inboxes. Users can register an account by confirming a phone number with a one-time SMS code or by creating an account with Facebook or Google.

The App processes incoming emails, lets you sort received images and indicate which animal is shown. Weather from the camera's location is added to each image: temperature, wind direction and speed, moon phase, air pressure and other indicators.

Data processing

The company responsible for data processing is aQode Ltd. The App collects and processes data to provide a better service, including:

• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Wildlife images
• Weather data
• User preferences and settings

Data storage

Images and data are securely stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) storage. Weather information is obtained from third-party service providers.

Cookies and analytics (website)

On huntgate.app we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand, anonymously and in aggregate, how visitors use the site (e.g. sections visited, device type) and to improve it. Cookies and similar technologies are used for this purpose.

We use Google Consent Mode (v2): analytics cookies and data collection are activated only after your explicit consent. When you open the site, a notice is shown where you can accept or reject. Until you have consented, analytics runs without cookies or is not used at all.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by opening “Cookie settings” in the site footer. We store the consent choice in a technical cookie hg_consent. Advertising and personalisation cookies are not used. More about how Google processes data: policies.google.com/privacy.

Data sharing

aQode Ltd does not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Data may be passed to third-party service providers for operational needs under strict data protection conditions.

Sharing feature

Users can share their registered trail cameras with trusted users by providing their email address or phone number. Shared users can sort those cameras' images and access both basic and extended statistics.

Data and profile deletion

• Data deletion: Users can delete their trail cameras and all associated information in the App. Deletion is irreversible.
• Profile deletion: Users can delete their entire profile, which will also delete all data and settings.

User rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data stored about you. This can be done in the App settings or by writing to huntgate@huntgate.app.

Availability and fees

The App is available on Apple iOS and Google Android. We reserve the right to change the functionality available for free and to introduce fees for individual features, informing users in advance.
